The award winning Plough Inn is a beautiful country pub with guest rooms set against the Stour Valley in picturesque Suffolk.

The Plough is an independent country inn where food, wine and real ales are our passion. We are close to Cambridge, Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Clare; ideal for a relaxing break. We have seven en suite guest rooms; five being doubles and two twin rooms, all with views overlooking the rolling Stour Valley or the countryside and Clare in the distance. The Inn offers easy free parking, complimentary wi fi throughout the entire building and tea, coffee and hot chocolate are provided in the rooms. Our team of chefs are passionate about food and produce a mouth-watering selection of daily special dishes, along with a la carte menus that change with the seasons. We always aim to make the most of the very best local produce, using local butchers, grocers and cheesemongers amongst our suppliers. At breakfast we like to use local butchers for our bacon and sausages and you'll also find a good Continental selection, too. Both cooked breakfast and Continental are included in our guest rates. In the bar, you'll find a minimum of three cask ales plus a comprehensive wine list and a varied collection of single malts. We hold two beer festivals per year, always on Easter weekend and always the last weekend of September.

Breakfast: Full and Continental breakfast are included in our rates. A vegetarian full English is also available on the menu.

Rooms: All en suite, all with lovely views of the countryside. All rooms have recently had new flat screen digital televisions installed.

Parking: Easy parking next to the Inn with a large gravel car park with space for up to 60 cars

Wifi: Free wi fi is available for all guests around the entire property and even in part of the gardens

Pets: Sorry, with the exception of guide dogs, we do not permit animals in the guest rooms.

Families: The Inn has up to four rooms that can accommodate a travel cot or Z Bed.

Disabled Facilities: Sadly, as a partially 19th century Inn, all of our guest rooms on the first floor, accessible only by a corner staircase.
