Gerry and Susan offer a warm and friendly welcome to the Haute Epine. We are a traditional English Guest House offering delicious evening meals, with the breakfast of your choice, however, Gerry's grilled full English is extremely popular. We aim for a relaxed and homely atmosphere where we are committed to making your stay as memorable as possible, which is why so many of our guests return again and again. All bedrooms have compact en-suites, flat screen TVs, hairdryers and generous beverage trays come as standard. We are not centrally heated but each room has its own convector heater so you control the room temperature in winter and a ceiling fan to cool you in the summer. We have 5 rooms= 1 single, 2 doubles that can have a bed added and 2 family rooms. Unfortunately we cannot accept pets. We are ideally situated close to the town, beach and train station. An ideal location to explore Devon and an ideal centre for walking holidays. Breakfast: Gerry's home cooked breakfast is one of the best, starting with a choice of cerials and fruit juice, full english grilled breakfast ( 2 sausages, 2 bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and eggs) followed by toast and preserves and accompanied by tea or coffee

Rooms: Although our rooms are compact you have everything you need for a good nights sleep and a comfortable stay. All the rooms have a ceiling fan to keep you cool and a stand alone heater so you can control the temperature in winter. Our rooms are spotless and all bedding is continuously being renewed so everything is fresh and comfortable

Parking: we do not have our own car park but there is plenty of parking in the streets around us and it is free

Wifi: sorry but no WIFI access but it is close by

Pets: So sorry but due to allergies we cannot accommodate pets

Families: We love families and have a selection of games and toys for all ages to enjoy family time together. We have a travel cot for the little ones and several family rooms. We do not expect children to be silent, there is no better sound than of children laughing.

Disabled Facilities: Unfortanately this is a very old building with no ground floor facilities and lots of stairs so we are unable to accommodate people with mobility needs
