The Southern is run by well established, resident proprietors. The premises are licensed and in a lovely quiet location.

Once a Merchant's House with its impressive wide carved staircase, overlooks private grounds and is situated close to the beach, and all attractions and amenities It offers you Bed & Breakfast or Bed Breakfast & Evening Dinner with a choice of menu. Start of the day right with one of Tony's Full Norfolk breakfasts all food sourced locally where possible. Special diets can be catered for with prior notice. We have a choice of single, double twin and family rooms available all of which are tastefully decorated and equipped with flat screen colour TV's, clock radios, tea/ coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Some ground floor rooms are available on request. We are open all year for your convenience as The Southern is fully centrally heated. We are also open for a 4 day Christmas special break. Full L2 Fire System Own key access at all times Special terms for Senior Citizens except July & August We accept Credit Cards

Breakfast: We offer Bed & Breakfast or Bed Breakfast and Evening Dinner with prior notice as everything is cooked and freshly prepared.

Rooms: All rooms are en-suite with shower, we have standard rooms and premier rooms. We have three ground floor rooms which are always popular. Our family 4 room has a double room and interconnecting door to a room with full size bunks, this is also a very popular room.

Parking: Free on street car parking with no restrictions. We also have a secure car park remote from The Southern to the rear. Gate number handed out at reception for when parking is at a premium

Wifi: Free WiFi throughout the premises

Families: We have family rooms and offer a close stroll to the seafront, beach and Pleasure Beach, crazy golf and amusement arcades

Disabled Facilities: Unfortunately as our premises are over 200 years old it does not lend itself to being disabled friendly due to the front and internal steps.
