Free Wifi and parking. Situated on a quiet country lane in the picturesque rural village of Bomere Heath, close to the medieval town of Shrewsbury. A very warm welcome awaits you. We have luxurious ground floor rooms with en-suites (one with wet room). The cosy lounge is characterful with beams and a log burner. A choice of breakfasts are served in our dining conservatory using locally sourced produce inc free range eggs with home cured bacon and sausages from the prestigious Battlefield 1403 Farmshop. Specific dietary requirements are also catered for. The Bomere is a double room with en-suite shower room (quadrant shower, washbasin and toilet). There is a comfortable double bed, a TV offering freeview, dvd, radio, usb along with a hospitality tray for tea and coffee plus handbaked biscuits. The Merrington is a twin room and has an en-suite wet room with shower, wash basin and toilet. Comfortable beds await you along with a TV offering freeview, dvd, radio, usb plus hospitality tray for tea, coffee and handbaked biscuits. Within walking distance, there is a public house (Red Lion) with live music nights, shop, post office, fish and chip takeaway, hairdressers with beauty salon, village hall (open to non-members), tennis court, cricket ground and children’s play area. Fishing can be undertaken at Merrington Green, the River Severn or one of the meres in Ellesmere. This is a village gone back in time located 4 miles north of Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. With views towards Pim Hill, which rises to 163m and covered in Rhodendrums in early summer, Bomere Heath is easily accessible to Shrewsbury, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Chester, North Wales, Ironbridge Gorge, Church Stretton, Bridgnorth and Ludlow.
