The house is a Georgian gem, surrounded by cedars, backed by a walled garden and with enough height to look back across the gently cultivated Welsh countryside. The property contains original period features, which have been complemented by modern touches, thus combining the old with the new. Rooms are light and spacious with high ceilings but large furniture and open fires in the winter provide comfort and warmth. Upon entrance, the open stone-flagged hall and sandstone staircase are immediately arresting, and the vast drawing room with its gilded ceiling is balanced by a smaller, more intimate library where guests can enjoy Sky TV and a huge selection of DVD’s and games. We currently offer two luxurious en-suit letting rooms accompanied by a hot, tasty cooked breakfast with locally sourced produce, a continental buffet and home cooked treats. Both bedrooms include antique bedsteads, crisp sheets, bouncy towels, hair and body products, tea and coffee making facilities and a few personal touches such as home made cookies and flowers. The house is situated down a private drive way set back from the main road. Less than a two minute walk from the end of our drive stands a newly refurbished country bar suitable for evening meals and drinks. Taxis can be arranged to the nearby town of Montgomery, set around a beautiful square over looked by the hills around Montgomery Castle. Here you can enjoy village life and dine at our very own Michelin starred restaurant.
