Bankside is an outstanding luxury non-smoking bed and breakfast, 10 minutes from Southwold and 15 minutes from Minsmere. Bankside B&B combines elegant boutique-style accommodation with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Naturally there is ample parking on the driveway for guests' cars and secure storage for bikes is readily available. Situated in the tranquil Suffolk hamlet of Uggeshall, the idyllic countryside location provides a peaceful and relaxing base from which to explore the beautiful Suffolk Coast beaches of Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh to the sweeping sandy cliffs, heathland and forest of nearby Dunwich. The RSPB nature reserve at Minsmere and renowned Snape Maltings are all nearby. Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Norwich are short drives away. There are numerous stunning walks for those who prefer to explore on foot and cycling enthusiasts will appreciate the uncongested roads and leafy lanes that abound this part of Suffolk. The hosts are always on hand to welcome guests to this friendly B&B with afternoon refreshments and to discuss and recommend the many excellent eateries in the area. We regret we are unable to accommodate children under 16 years of age or pets.

Breakfast: Our award-winning Gourmet breakfasts are freshly prepared using the finest ingredients from local farmers, growers and dairies. Breakfast is served in the stylish dining room which overlooks the garden and picturesque woodland opposite. When the weather allows, breakfast can be enjoyed on the patio.

Rooms: The 2 south-facing double bedrooms have a stylish contemporary look-and-feel created by the use of hand crafted American oak furniture. Both are beautifully furnished with top of the range king-size bed, sumptuous linens and towels, flat screen TV with Freeview, en-suite facilities and comprehensive hospitality tray. Guests really love the silky soft water provided by the in-house water softener.

Parking: Ample parking for guests' cars on the driveway and secure overnight storage is available for bikes by arrangement.
