Located just a few minutes away from Windermere Marina and not far from the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction the cottage provides an excellent base to explore the area. Steamers run from Bowness up the lake to Ambleside or down the lake to Lakeside where you can visit the Aquarium of the Lakes or take a trip on the steam train. The car ferry is situated a minutes drive from the cottage to take you across to Sawrey where Beatrix Potters house (Hill Top) is situated or on to the pretty village of Hawkshead or further afield. For the golfers we are close to Windermere Golf Club and Beckside Golf Course. There are also a pitch and putt course close by together with tennis courts and a cinema.
