The drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow takes between 2 and 3 hours down the A74 (M). The drive from the south is up the M6 or from London the M1 and M6/M74 and then the A75. From London it takes approx. 6 hours. From the A75 follow signs for Castle Douglas and turn off on the A745 for Castle Douglas and then take the 2nd left as signposted..
