 The Duke of Tavistock is in a Grade II listed Victorian House built between the 1820s and 1840s by the 7th Duke of Bedford Francis Russell. br / br / All along Plymouth Road the Duke built the Georgian and early Victorian villas for the gentry professional classes and wealthy citizens of his time and was regarded as the Champs-Elysees of Tavistock. br / br / br / br / Having recently been sympathetically renovated and modernised the house still contains period features including sash and stain glass windows fire places original cornice and oak flooring. All rooms have been fitted with modern en-suite facilities chandeliers and contemporary furnishings ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay with us. br / br / We have our own private and secure customer car park at the rear of the property accessed via Chapel Street for your convenience. br / br / br / br / In the morning you can enjoy the plentiful continental and full English breakfasts that are locally sourced freshly prepared and served to you in our sunny dining room overlooking the Meadowlands Park which leads down to the River Tavy.
