 The Old Rectory is a stylish hotel situated in Llangattock in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is the perfect location for a relaxing break or for an activity holiday with walking cycling caving fishing and riding all available nearby and the hotel also has its own onsite 9-hole golf course. The small town of Crickhowell with its shops and pubs is a pleasant ten minute walk away. The hotel is situated in a quiet location with ample parking onsite provided free of charge. The hotel grounds are also adjacent to the Monmouthshire-Brecon canal which is perfect for an evening stroll. The Old Rectory dates back to the 16th century and was once home to the celebrated poet Henry Vaughan in the days when young gentlemen were sent to live with a Rector for a full education. Our head chef David Chamberlain is making a name for himself in the area using locally sourced ingredients to produce top quality meals in the award winning restaurant. A good range of bar snacks are also available. David is due to appear on TV in March 2015 in a new Alex Polizzi series For Hire . Due to its age and design all the 24 rooms at the hotel have individual character and range from simple single rooms to deluxe suites each tastefully furnished. There is also a room with a waterbed for the adventurous! The hotel has come under new management in January 2015. The management team are committed to maintaining and improving on the already high standards of quality and service for which the hotel is known to ensure the perfect visit for all our guests.
