The Arisaig Hotel sits on the edge of the sheltered Loch nan Ceall in the small village of Arisaig on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands. The Hotel is an old coaching inn built in around 1720. It has 13 rooms all en suite most of which offer sea views overlooking Arisaig Bay and out towards the distinctive shapes of the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum. Arisaig has a certain magnetic charm a real lived-in village with a friendly feel. Once people discover Arisaig they can t help returning again and again generation after generation. It is truly an area of outstanding natural beauty with beautiful beaches sparkling lochs and rugged hills. There is plenty to do locally to keep you occupied for a week or two with lots of great walks a nine hole golf course sea kayaking and bike hire available at the hotel a variety of boat trips available from Arisaig Mallaig and Glenfinnan and a swimming pool and gym nearby in Mallaig just to mention a few. In the evening after watching the sun go down over the sea you can come back and relax and pick up some local knowledge in the hotel bar. Our mouth-watering and good value meals can be taken in the Crofter s Bar the Lounge Bar or in summer in the Dining Room depending how you feel. If it s sunny you can soak up the rays and admire the views from the deck. If it s cold you can curl up in front of the fire in the Drawing Room. Lunches and dinners teas and coffees with home baking are served daily to residents and non-residents. Our chefs prepare all the food on site using fresh local produce where possible and create some real treats! Dinner can be taken in either of the Bars or in the Dining Room. After dinner you can join the fun in the Crofter s Bar or relax in the Drawing Room. Children are welcome in all areas. Younger children will be happily occupied for an hour or so in the Playroom. Look out to see if we have any Special nights on curry night tapas night music night etc. Friday night is usually music night in the Crofter s Bar so bring an instrument if you have one and join in. Key sporting features are shown on the TV in the Crofters Bar. The hotel is situated conveniently for all local amenities such as the General Store Marina Post Office Cafe Restaurant and the Land Sea and Island Centre. There is free off road parking a laundry service and Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.

Directions to The Arisaig Hotel Arisaig

The Arisaig Hotel is located by the sea on the edge of Arisaig village on the old coast road to Mallaig. Through traffic now by-passes the village. Coming from the south take the first turning off to the village. Pass the hall a few houses the Land Sea and Island Centre Spar shop and café and you will come to the Arisaig Hotel on your right just before the Marina. Coming from the north (Mallaig take the second right turn to Arisaig just over the brow of the long uphill. Cruise down the hill and round the bend and we are just on the left at the beginning of the village. BY ROAD Take the A830 Road to the Isles for Mallaig which is off the A82 just north of Fort William. Arisaig is approximately 45 minutes drive from Fort William or 3 - 4 hours from Glasgow or Edinburgh. CityLink coach services operate daily to Fort William from Glasgow Edinburgh Oban and Inverness. Shiel Coaches run a Monday to Friday service from Fort William onwards to Arisaig & Mallaig. BY TRAIN Direct from Glasgow to Arisaig crossing many areas of scenic beauty especially alongside Loch Lomond Rannoch Moor and The Road to the Isles. This is the famous West Highland Line (said to be one of the best railway journeys in the world). There are also regular overnight Sleeper trains direct from London to Fort William. In addition to the normal service which operates between Fort William and Arisaig/Mallaig there is a unique steam train ride during the summer. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the station. BY AIR There are daily flights from London to Glasgow Edinburgh and Inverness. Guests can then continue their journey by hire car or coach or take the train from Glasgow (connections available from Edinburgh station). BY SEA Arisaig Pier is just 200m from The Arisaig Hotel so very convenient for visiting marine folk. From the Isle of Skye (Armadale) take the 30 minute car ferry to Mallaig
