The house once belonged to Sir William Cockaine a former Lord Mayor of London in 1619 and is mentioned in Hasted s history of Kent. br / br / br / br / Situated in a Sylvan setting with far reaching views across the valley in a quiet area away from all the traffic. It overlooks a Kent trust nature reserve. Directions to Upper Ansdore Canterbury

Canterbury - Road: Take the B2068 to Hythe after 31/2 miles turn right to Petham proceed for a mile to the centre of the village past the Tudor house turn left fork signed elmstead ( Duckpit Road) 1/1/2 miles turn right to Upper Ansdore 1/4 mile ( no through road ) go to the end of this lane carry on up ther private road to the house. From M20 after approxamately 10 miles turn by the Chequers pub Left in to the village T junction turn left then Left fork into Duckpit road.
