A short drive takes you to Castle Neroche run by the forestry commission and always beautiful with its miles of forest trails huge beech hangers veritable oceans of bluebells and acres of stately foxgloves. Equally close to home are enchanting National Trust gardens at Barrington Court and East Lambrook Manor an evocative Cider Distillery at Burrow Hill with resident pig and John Leach's famous Muchelney Pottery and Gallery. Nearby Dillington House offers interesting courses concerts and lectures. Forde Abbey a former Cistercian monastery makes for a lovely day out as does the wildlife park at Cricket St Thomas where you can wander through the woods with the Lemurs. After passing Cad Green Garage a small country petrol station on your left continue for approx 14 mile and slightlychaotic BandB is the first house on the right over a small bridge and opposite a little copse.From the SOUTHWEST via A30 and A303Coming from Cornwall on the A30 toward Exeter take the exit onto M5 toward TauntonHonitonExmouth. Stay on M5 for less than 5 miles. At junction 29 exit onto Honiton Road A30 towards Honiton.Stay on A30 for approx 20 miles and continue onto A303 (signs for Ilminster).At Southfields Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A358 (TauntonM5). Take the first right signposted Ilton. Turn right to stay on Cad Road. Keep on this road.
