A stunningly located guest house within an exclusive loch side setting.Alistair and Jenifer welcome you to Thistle House Guest House a beautiful spacious Victorian country house situated in a large pretty wooded garden overlooking Loch Fyne to Inveraray and its famous castle.Thistle House has been providing quality guest house accommodation for over 30 years with many of its guests returning year after year. The accommodation is complimented with traditional furnishings to enhance this already beautiful houseOur gardens have some special visitors which can be seen from both our public rooms and bedrooms. Look out for our family of red squirrels and roe deer and keep a special watch out for the many seals in the loch at the front of the house. The house is also perfect for bird watching with both woodland and shore birds.The Guest House is perfectly located for visits to Inveraray Dunoon Oban and many more of the beautiful surrounding west coast of scotland's areas. Directions to Thistle House Guest House CAIRNDOW

By CarThistle House is most easily accessed by car. If you are driving from Glasgow you can either come on the A82 alongside Loch Lomond and then the A83 from Tarbet follow the road for 12.5 miles then turn left onto the A815 drive for 6.5 miles until you reach the far end of St Catherines village and we are onthe left hand side ther is a large sign aat the roadside Journey from Glasgow is just over an Hour.Or you can take the car ferry across the Clyde from Gourock to Dunoon and the follow the A815 to St Catherines.If you are coming from the North take either the A82 or A85 to Crainlarich then take the A82 to Tarbet then the A83 and turn off onto the A815 to St Catherines. We are about 6miles down this road and almost at the end of the village on the left hand side. There is a prominent sign on the roadsideComing from Oban follow the signs to Inveraray then turn left at Inveraray round the top of the loch and then take the A815 to St Catherines.By Plane - The nearest airports are Glasgow International (50 miles) Glasgow Prestwick (80 miles) Edinburgh International (85 miles)
