This lovely old inn has been extensively refurbished whilst retaining all its original character. The superb decor creates a friendly relaxed atmosphere and our staff do their utmost to ensure that you enjoy your time here.We pride ourselves on our food at the Rock and Fountain. The kitchen is headed up by Lee Milne who has worked with some of the culinary greats and together with his two second chefs they routinely prove their competence at producing excellent quality food at very reasonable prices. All our ingredients are sourced locally and food is cooked to order.We have 8 beautiful letting rooms that have been refurbished to a very high standard. These are available for long or short term lets. All of our rooms are en suite and have comfy sofas and their own kitchenette areas complete with combination ovens washing machines tea coffee etc. Three of our rooms also have their own sitting rooms. Equally ideal for the business traveller or holiday maker. For getting out and about our location is amazing. We have three of the country's best golf courses to hand: Celtic Manor home to the 2010 Ryder Cup is only 5 miles away; St Pierre in Chepstow even closer; whilst the Rolls of Monmouth is within easy driving distance. If history is your thing we have numerous castles in the immediate area including the outstanding Caldicot Castle which has been restored to much of its original condition and is the home of the mediaeval banquet. For wine lovers we have a selection of award winning vineyards including one bio dynamic almost on our doorstep or if you prefer a spot of culture then both Bristol and Cardiff are less than 25 miles away. We are minutes away from the David Broome Centre and Chepstow Racecourse home to the Welsh Grand National. And if that's not enough to be getting on with the stunning Wye Valley and all its attractions are a stone's throw away. We also have two function rooms upstairs which are perfect for weddings family gatherings auctions conferences etc. The smaller of the two is the impressive library which can seat up to twelve for more intimate gatherings. Directions to Rock and Fountain Inn CALDICOT

From Cardiff Newport and West Wales: Leave the M4 at J24 take the second exit on the A48 signed to Langstone. At the next roundabout take the second exit continuing on the A48. Continue on the A48 for approximately 4.5 miles and the Rock and Fountain Inn CALDICOT is on the left hand side of the road. For the car park take the turning on the left immediately after the pub and then take the first turning on the left after that.From the North (M50): Take the A40A449 south until you get to the Coldra roundabout (M4 J24). Take the first exit on the A48 signed to Langstone. At the next roundabout take the second exit continuing on the A48. Continue on the A48 for approximately 4.5 miles and the Rock and Fountain Inn CALDICOT is on the left hand side of the road. For the car park take the turning on the left immediately after the pub and then take the first turning on the left after that.From London Bristol and the East: Leave the M4 at junction 23A then at the roundabout take the 1st exit signposted Magor Caldicot. Branch left then at roundabout take the first exit onto Newport Road - B4245. At the T-Junction turn right onto the A48. Continue on the A48 for approximately 3 miles and the Rock and Fountain Inn CALDICOT is on the left hand side of the road. For the car park take the turning on the left immediately after the pub and then take the first turning on the left after that.
