Welcome to Harold's House Luxury BandB. Upon arrival you will be greeted with a wag of the tail from Harold our dog and of course a warm welcome from his owners. All rooms are furnished to a very high standard with your comfort in mind. Set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and nestling at the foot of the Mendip Hills the pretty village of Draycott offers an ideal base for exploring walking and cycling. Come and take in the breath taking scenery of the Mendip hills and the Somerset levels. From Harold's House you have access to plenty of scenic walks from the Mendips to the Moors. Draycott is situated between the village of Cheddar and the historic cathedral city of Wells. All rooms are furnished to a very high standard with your comfort in mind. Your stay at Harold's House BandB will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. If you are a pilot attending the Bristol Ground School we are just a 5 minute drive away by car. Ample and secure parking is available. Draycott is the ideal base from which to explore the nearby cities of Bath and Bristol which are approximately 25 miles away.

Directions to Harolds House BB Cheddar

From the M5: take J21 (from north) or J22 if coming from South. Follow signs for Cheddar. Head straight into Cheddar following signs for Wells. You will pass a Tesco Express on your right and then a monument in the centre of Cheddar. Follow the road to Wells. You will pass over a narrow hump back bridge with a sharp bend to the right. Follow the road to Draycott past the garden centre. As you enter Draycott we are the third turning on the left. It is marked with a brown information sign for the Gliding club which is at the top of the road. There is also a chapel on the corner. If you get to the Red Lion pub you have just missed the turning! Then we are the first road on the left. Turn into The Binnings and we are the first house on the right. From Wells and the East: Follow signs for Cheddar and Weston Super Mare. You will head through Easton Westbury sub Mendip then Rodney Stoke with panoramic views of the Somerset levels on your left and the Mendip Hills on your right. Draycott is the next village after Rodney Stoke. Head straight through to the Red Lion pub and then take the next turning on your right marked for the Gliding Club. We are the first road on the left. Turn into The Binnings and we are the first house on the right.
