Logistically from a distance point of view WE ARE NOT a suitable location for the Rockness Festival. Criagmonie Cottage (situated in West Lewiston Drumnadrochit) is a hundred year old detached villa which has been converted into a very comfortable home from home in the highlands. Our three bedrooms are spacious bright tastefully decorated and offer flexible accommodation options ranging from twindoublefamily rooms. Please note that our family rooms can be used for twin or double occupancy subject to availability. Each room has en-suite facilities and is equipped with flat screen TVDVD (small selection of DVD's are located in the porch for guests) free sat stations hairdryers beverage trays and free wi-fi internet access is available as is off road car parking as well as on road. Guests staying three nights or more also enjoy a complimentary goody tray on arrival!! We offer breakfast options from full Scottish Scrambled Eggs and Smoked Salmon or a lighter choice of fresh fruit ham etc. The following are just some of the products we use to ensure that your first meal of the day is an enjoyable hearty one: local free range eggs Black Isle Organic bread award winning Stornoway Black Pudding breakfast sausages from Perthshire and last but not least our own homemade raspberry jam marmalade and oatcakes. For walkers we are a mere 100 metres from the Great Glen Way and for all visitors we are opposite the Loch Ness Inn (open all year) which after a days walking is a very welcome port of call with good food and drink on offer whilst relaxing in friendly surroundings in the warmth of the wood burning stove what better way to round off the day! Or venture a little further into the village to the family run Fiddler's Highland Restaurant (voted Scotlands best Malt Whisky Bar for the last 3 years in a row!) Along with a selection of fine ales and not to mention over 600 Malt Whiskies the bill of fayre here is full of items from the National Larder topped with a warm friendly welcome and a promise to look after you makes it an experience not to miss. (don't worry about getting there we can organise transport by prior arrangement).

Directions to Craigmonie Cottage BB Loch Ness

By Road - From Inverness - Follow signs for Fort William and Drumnadrochit on the A82. Enjoy a very scenic 14 mile drive down the lochside till you reach Drumnadrochit - carry on through the village till you see the sign for Lewiston. Continue past the Esso Petrol Station on the right and turn right at the small crossroads. We are the third house down on the right hand side opposite the Loch Ness Inn car park.From Fort William on the A82 - Follow signs for Drumnadrochit -pass Urquhart Castle when you will see the signs for Lewiston and Borlum Bridge Riding Stables. Go over the small bridge and immediately turn left. We are the third house down on the right opposite the Loch Ness Inn Car Park From the Great Glen Way - Invermoriston. Come down Bunloit Hill turn left cross over small bridge and immediately turn left (so close now) we are the thrid house down on the right opposite the Loch Ness Inn Car ParkFrom Great Glen Way - Inverness. Once you reach Drumnadrochit carry on through the village where you will see the signs for Lewiston. Pass the Esso Petrol Station and turn right at the cross roads - We are the thrid house down on the right opposite the Loch Ness Inn Car Park
