A beautiful seventeenth century cottage with oak beamed ceilings, panelled rooms, slate flooring, log fires - and a warm welcome

Thwaite Cottage Coniston is set in a beautiful wooded garden well away from the road - perfect peace - but the lake and the village are just a ten minute stroll from the door. We have three letting bedrooms, a guests' sitting room and separate breakfast room. We are both walkers and lovers of the Lake District and more than happy to help plan your days whether they are to be spent on the fells, touring by car, cycling or mountain biking, or enjoying all the watersports the lake has to offer.

Breakfast: Full English breakfast but also alternatives for those with smaller appetites. Diets catered for if possible with notification

Rooms: Three double rooms (one has a single bed too so can be used as a twin or for a child) Two have their own private bathrooms, the other has an ensuite shower room. All three typical cottage bedrooms - two with window seats, one with a charming half-timbered wall

Parking: Ample off road parking plus room for a boat if you are bringing one

Wifi: Free WIFI

Pets: Sorry but no.

Families: Children welcome. Reductions apply between ages of 5 and 10 with under 5's free.

Disabled Facilities: Afraid the age of the cottage does not make this possible.
