A five star luxury bed and breakfast in a historic country house.

The Old Rectory Country House is in a small hamlet on the edge of Great Waldingfield in Suffolk. We are located in between the historic and pretty village of Lavenham and Sudbury which has many useful amenities. The Old Rectory Country House offers a peaceful retreat with double ensuite bedrooms all on the first floor of our delightful period family home. The house is steeped in intriguing history and has beautiful gardens with a pool and tennis court. Breakfast, served either in the dining room or in your own room, is a tasty selection of continental and traditional English, locally sourced produce. We are perfectly located for visiting the many attractions that Suffolk offers be this on foot, by bike or car.

Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast in your room or a fabulous, locally sourced breakfast in our dining room full of interesting history of the family. In the winter we light the fire so that you can feel toasty warm whilst you tuck into cereal, fruit and breads as well as an acclaimed cooked breakfast.

Rooms: Individually designed bedrooms, all over looking different aspects of the wonderful grounds of The Old Rectory. Enjoy the luxurious feel of Egyptian linen and our bathroom goodies.

Parking: Free parking on large driveway.

Wifi: Free Wifi available.

Pets: Well behaved clean dogs are welcome to share your room - we do have a place to shower them off if need be. We do have three labradors of our own.

Families: We have all the necessary equipment to free up a bit of boot spaces for families. Just let us know in advance if you need a high chair, changing table, travel cot or additional bed for a child. The swimming pool is fabulous for children and there is lots of room to run around. In the surrounding area there are great things to amuse children both out in the fresh air or indoors.
