Situated in the valley of the River Missbourne within the glorious Chilterns, it’s ideally located within walking distance of the picturesque village of Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire near all major road and rail routes The Nags Head has been a back drop for past TV/films and played host to many a famous name including prime ministers and children’s author Roald Dahl. More recently you’ll find the The Nags Head featured in 20th Century Fox animated film; “Fantastic Mr Fox”. Its now an award-winning Rosette gastro pub and restaurant with beautifully furnished double and twin bedrooms all with private ensuite facilities. Highly regarded for their English and French fusion and award winning wine list with dishes using the highest quality of local ingredients’ and produce where possible. The menu is extensive with home produced starters including home smoked fish; salads; main dishes of local saddle of lamb and game; desserts including local cheeses and daily specials. A new fixed priced pub menu is now available during the week with special steak nights planned on alternate Wednesday nights from January.
