Housed in a medieval timber-framed building at the head of one of the most picturesque streets in Sussex, the museum offers a treasure trove of local history objects displayed in 26 rooms. There is something for everyone, including fossils and flints, costumes, toys, crimes and punishment. The museum also boasts a busy programme of temporary exhibitions throught the year as well as a dedicated Art gallery with ever changing displays. Open Monday to Saturday 10.00 to 5.00pm . Admission Free
