'Close to the lakes yet away from the crowds' in a corner of the Lake District National Park we are just off the A590 at Witherslack.

Our bed and breakfast is easy to find and just 8 minutes from the M6 J36. With 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms each with a king-size bed we are situated just off the A590 at Witherslack near Grange-over-Sands. An ideal stop-over for those travelling to or from Scotland and the perfect location for those visiting the English Lake District, South Lakes Furness Peninsulas, Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire. The original part of the house is over 100 years old and is bigger than it appears because it is as deep as it is long. Our village put is 50 yards along the road, is dog friendly, has log fires in the winter and serves nice food. A number of other pubs, restaurants and takeaways are within a short drive of the house.

Breakfast: Start the day with a hearty breakast, which is served in the conservatory before spending the day touring the area. With a variety of items to choose from ranging from light bites to vegetarian breakfasts and our full English breakfasts we try to use as much local procuce as we are able. In addition to our cooked breakfasts choose from an assortment of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, fruit juices and and variety of marmalades and preserves.

Rooms: All 3 rooms are spacious and en-suite. Room 1 has an en-suite bathroom, king-size bed and a private balcony with table and chairs and steps leading into a private part of the garden onto the drive. Room 2 is our family room with an en-suite shower room, king-size bed, single bed and room for an additional zed bed if necessary. Room 3 has a king-size bed along with a walk-in wardrobe and luxury bathroom with both bath and shower. All our bedrooms have a flat screen TV with CD and DVD player, wine cooler/mini fridge, hair drier, hospitality basket and many other 'home from home' comforts. Our guest sitting room offers an assortment of CDs and DVDs to choose from along with an assortment of board games etc along with a nice supply of books to browse at your leisure.

Parking: Parking is available on our drive, our gravelled area by the wall and there is additional parking in the layby opposite.

Wifi: Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.

Pets: Being dog lovers ourselves Beech Hill House ia a truly dog friendly bed and breakfast with a number of walks from the door, a dog friendly village pub 50 yards along the road and the whold of the English Lake District to walk your dog in. What better place to be. Dogs can stay in any room and for a small charge we provide a dog bed if required, a throw, feeding bowl and a 'goodie' basket with some treats. Our room 1 has a private balcony with table and chairs and with access to a private part of the garden leading onto the drive our guests have a room with their own private entrance if they so wish. Being dog lovers ourselves we are a truly dog freindly establishment and our bed and breakfast has been designed to accommodate both our dogs and our guests and their dogs.

Families: Our room 2 is our family room with its king-size and single bed and if needed we can include a high quality zed bed. Children over the age of 5 are welcome.
