This Elizabethan house was built on the site of a 12th century Augustinian Priory has been the home of the Newdegate family for over 400 years. It is said to be the finest example of Gothic Revival architecture in the country. It stands in beautiful parklands surrounded by lakes and woodland. The house is open to the public on certain days where they can view the fine collections of antique furniture, pictures, glass and china.
