 Old Bridwell now offers 5 Star rated accommodation for up to 40 guests originally the Home Farm serving the Bridwell Park Estate which is now owned by Lord Mountbatten. Old Bridwell retained the original Listed Walled Kitchen Garden from the Estate with it s beautiful cordons of apple trees and espaliers of pear and plum trees. A haven now full of fruits and flowers our guest are welcome to explore and enjoy all of the gardens and grounds. br / br / The holiday cottages were converted from the farmhouse and barns retaining names from their past Spring Bramley Rosemary Orchard and Pumphouse. Spring cottage was home to a natural spring which even in the hottest driest of weathers continued to flow leading to the name Brides Well where it is claimed young brides would wash in the spring water to ensure fertility. br / br / The buildings were used for traditional cider production from the 2000 acre Cider Apple Orchard Estate which once barrelled would then be stored in the Thatched Cottage. br / br / Old Bridwell offers you flexibility to stay with us for as long or as short a stay as suits you. br / br / Located within the Blackdown hills designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty so we have many wonderful walks cycle routes canal pathways country pubs and market town to explore. Ideally located 5 minutes from the Devon link road giving easy access to the Exmoor National Park and the surfing beaches of North Devon including Woolacoombe Beach voted Nu1 beach in the UK by TripAdvisor which is just over an hour away. br / br / The UNESCO World Heritage Site Jurassic Coastline stretches from Exmouth (only 45 min s drive away) for 95 miles with spectacular cliff paths beaches & fossils. br / br / All our guest receive our Complementary Home Baked Devonshire Cream Scones and Welcome Hamper. br / br / We provide high chairs stair gates & travel cots on request and offer an on site baby sitting & child care service.Most cottages are pet friendly so we also offer a doggy day care or dog walking service
