Situated five miles from the county town of Brecon Lower Chapel sits in the River Honddu valley surrounded by open countryside and the rolling hills of the Brecon Beacons. Guests can walk nearby footpaths to the village of Pwllgloyw and its welcoming pub. br / br / Epynt Mountain lies to the North of Bridge House and its perimeter trails cater for walkers horse riders and mountain-bikers. For the experienced walker there is of course Pen y Fan and the Epynt Way. br / br / Two rooms have views of the river and all guests can enjoy the view over open countryside from the Breakfast Room. br / br / Guests are welcome to sit and relax in the rear garden or by the River Honddu at the front of the property.

Directions to Bridge House Brecon

Brecon - Road: Lower Chapel is situated on the B4520 Brecon to Builth Wells road. Follow signs for Upper Chapel from Brecon. A mile after passing through Pwllgloyw the road decends to cross a stone bridge across the River Honddu. Immediately after crossing the bridge Bridge House lies on the right hand side of the left hand bend. Entrance to the driveway and parking is via two wooden gates to the left of the property. br/ br/ Builth Wells - Road: Leave Builth Wells on the B4520 signposted to Brecon. After passing through Upper Chapel Lower Chapel is another 4 miles. After passing Honddu Villa on your right the road bears right and crosses a stone bridge over the River Honddu. Bridge House is situated on the left hand side of the road before crossing the bridge. Access is via two wooden gates on to the drive and the on-site parking. br/ br/ Abergavenny - Train: There is no railway station at Brecon. Hourly direct trains to Abergavenny on the Cardiff-Manchester line and good connections from other cities. It s now even easier to travel from London to Brecon using a new through ticket on the train and bus. Tickets can be bought at London Paddington Reading Swindon and Bristol Parkway which include the journey by train to Cardiff and then the journey by T4 bus all the way to Brecon. A taxi will be needed from Brecon to Lower Chapel. br/ br/ Merthyr Tydfil - Train: Brecon does not have a railway station. There are trains to Merthyr Tydfil from Cardiff and Pontypridd every half hour taking one hour and then the journey by T4 bus all the way to Brecon.
