 The Crown and Kitchen was taken over by current owner Billy Robertson in 2013. The site which had been a bar for many generations lay closed and Billy and his family poured time and effort in to transforming it to a vibrant friendly welcoming establishment. br / br / br / br / The Crown and Kitchen have dedicated their entire food service around locally sourced ingredients. Their menus are changed in time with the season and matched to what is available locally. Within the garden space they grow their own herbs used by the chefs in their kitchen and by the bar tenders in their cocktails . Recently awarded the Cask Marque they stock a wide range of Scottish Ales and Scottish craft lager. There is no better place to relax and unwind after a long day than to sit in front of the real open fireplaces and sample one of their many single malt whiskeys or Scottish gins. br / br / br / br / The head chef Stephen Yeend has great experience in many top establishments. His experience and his passion for freshly prepared stylish food filled with substance has allowed The Crown and Kitchen to establish itself as one of the best places to dine within East Lothian. br / br / br / br / Billy and his wife Lauren have now converted the rooms above this chic bar and restaurant into bed and breakfast accommodation. The four beautifully appointed en-suite double bedrooms can be booked out individually or as a whole for family groups or golfing cycling and walking parties. br / br / br / br / The high-spec rooms have luxurious bathrooms and décor is chic stylish and contemporary with traditional features. For those who prefer self-catering accommodation when the guest house is booked as a whole by a group there is a large and well-equipped kitchen and lounge area while if you re really looking to treat yourself you can enjoy the food in the restaurant downstairs. Perfect too for a romantic break rooms are stylish and indulgent while the restaurant downstairs is ideal for an intimate meal.
