Keith and Annette Monnelly welcome you to their lovingly restored non-smoking old vicarage built in 1690 located in a peaceful situation next to the thirteenth century churchyard of St Mary s C of E Parish Church. br / br / On arrival weather permitting you may like to recharge you batteries with a pot of coffee or tea in our private enclosed garden at the front of the house. br / br / Furnished with antiques and bric a brac collected over the years we have two large letting bedrooms suitable for four people. We regret we cannot cater for children or pets. br / br / The guest lounge has beamed ceilings wood burning stove wide screen TV and lots of comfy sofas to make your stay with us as relaxing as possible. br / br / We also have a plentiful supply of wildlife and walking books maps and information about the surrounding area. We are both keen walkers and bird watchers who love to pass on our favourite tips and spots to our guests! br / br / Belford is a unique village complete with nine-hole golf course situated half a mile away from the A1 with easy access to all the places of outstanding natural beauty that you may wish to visit. Only five miles from the beautiful Bamburgh Castle village and vast expanses of sandy beaches four miles from the bird-watcher s paradise of Budle Bay three miles from the solitude and tranquility of Ross Sands and a short drive from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands famous for its colony of grey seals and where in June and July you can see the wonderful antics of the colourful puffins and protective terns. br / br / Inland the Cheviot Hills are close by for those of you who want to explore on foot or by car Bowden Doors and the Kyloe Hills are famous for their rock climbing routes Alnwick Castle and its world-renowned Alnwick Garden complete with spectacular tree house are fifteen minutes away by car the castles of Chillingham Dunstanburgh and Warkworth are all worth a visit not to mention the Elizabethan walled town of Berwick upon Tweed.
