Byerley House was purpose built as a small private hotel in 1998 and offers luxurious accommodation close to the centre of Newmarket. Situated in a quiet street with safe parking we are only a two-minute walk from the High St which offers a variety of shops restaurants and bars. Although Byerley House has guests visiting from all walks of life the owners of the house are horseracing people. The house is excellently run by former amateur jockey Bobbie whose husband Conrad is a bloodstock consultant and also a successful licenced racehorse trainer. For anyone visiting the town for their interest in horseracing Conrad and Bobbie s professional connection with the sport offers a unique insight into the sport for any racing enthusiast. If time permits Conrad is also happy to take guests onto the gallops to show them the horses in training although this will have to be arranged. Guests at Byerley House enjoy the use of a resident s lounge with wide screen TV and a private dining room. All bedrooms are equipped with TVs and en suite bathrooms. Byerley House is a short walk to the world famous gallops the Jockey Club Rooms and the Horseracing Museum. We are just 200yds from Tattersalls Europe s leading thoroughbred horse auction since 1766. Tattersalls also provides an excellent venue for weddings and other corporate functions. Newmarket racecourses have excellent conferencing facilities and also host a number of corporate functions and trade fairs. The National Stud is a short distance away and provide tours. The Stud is situated close to the famous ancient rampart Devil s Dyke. The course of the dyke is now controlled by English Heritage as a Scheduled Ancient Monument as well as Site of Special Scientific Interest. A well-kept footpath runs the full length of the dyke.
