Caledonian Canal - The Canal runs the lenghen of the Great Glen, it was built by Thomas Telford, to join the North east coast of Scotland to the West coast, It satrt just outside of Fort William at Corpach where the sea lock opens onto the Caledoina Canal, that then runs all the way to Inverness the Canal has numerous locks on it that join the natural Lochs, of the gorge.

Commando Monument - Set in the center of Spean Bridge there is a massive history behind the area. It was the first place that the Commando's actually came when the regiment was first put together for training. The monument is a recognised statue to the fallen and also to the fact that they have freedom the of town of Fort William granted to them by the late Queen Mother, it has also in recent years become a memorial ground to the many forces personnel that have given there lives for their country
