Glen Affric National Nature Reserve - Managed by Forestry Commission Scotland and covering 15,000 hectares, Glen Affric National Nature Reserve is home to one third of the remaining ancient Caledonian Pine Forest. Its unique habitats give shelter to rare animal and plant species such as golden eagles, black grouse, pine martens, otters, dragonflies, orchids, mosses and lichens. Thanks to the existence way-marked trails and footpaths and the discreet presence of interpretation boards this is an accessible place favoured by outdoor lovers who can practice photography, wildlife watching, canoeing, walking and rambling. A wild land of mountains and lochs, waterfalls and heather moors.

Loch Ness Exhibition Centre - Situated on the approach to Drumnadrochit, it has been made a 5 star VisitScotland attraction, and has been the centre of many recent TV documentaries.
The exhibition has many scientific interests and shows not only the search information for the monster, but also the historic nature of Loch Ness itself, how it was formed, and the changes over the centuries.

Urquhart Castle - The castle is approximately 2 miles from the B&B. It is suitable for all people, including disabled as there are lifts and walkways suitable for wheel chairs. Originally built in 1246, it is now a ruin having been blown up and re-built many times. The views from the castle are phenomenal, and the Visitor Centre is excellent, with a good restaurant.One can walk from the village to tyhe castle, and there is also a regular bus to and from.
