Since the early 17th Century The Queen's Head Inn has been welcoming weary travellers and visitors to the village of Hawkshead. Some things don't change, whether you want to drink, dine or unwind, you will find The Queen's Head the perfect base to explore the beautiful South Lakes of Cumbria and beyond. We have thirteen comfortable guest rooms all with private bathrooms and all individually styled and furnished. Free Wi-Fi is available for all our guests. Our celebrated restaurant, awarded an AA Rosette for culinary excellence, has a menu to suit all tastes. Each dish is devised and perfected by our head chef and is designed to utilise local ingredients from local suppliers. Breakfast: We offer a selection of frui juice, fresh fruit platter, cereals, yoghurt, prunes, dried fruit and grapefruit segements from our breakfast buffet, followed by a heartly lakeland cooked breakfast of your choice. A perfect start to a day in the Lake District

Rooms: We have thirteen comfortable guest rooms all with private bathrooms and all individually styled and furnished. All rooms are equiped with tea/coffee making facilities, Flat screen television and built in Dvd player, Hairdryer, towels and complimentry toiletries

Parking: Guests can park in the main car park, a mere minutes walk from the hotel, guests will be provided with a parking permit which will be charged at £3.00 per stay

Wifi: Wi-Fi is available to guests and non residents

Pets: We do have rooms in Brown Cow Cottage, adjacent to the hotel which we allow dogs. Dogs are also allowed in the hotel bar.

Families: We have rooms available that can accommodate 4 people, We also have extra sofa beds, and cots that can be put in the rooms on request.
