Now celebrating our 80th year, we have been operating trains since 1931, taking passengers for around ¾ mile from Peasholm Park to Scalby Mills stations, offering beautiful viewsof Scarborough's North Bay. The line operated by the North Bay Railway Scarborough Company Ltd, offers a wide range of attractions as well as the railway, including the Glass House Bistro, Boating Lake and Historic Water Chute. So why not come and visit us? We are dog friendly and 100% wheelchair and pushchair friendly. We look forward to welcoming you, to the most historic seaside miniature railway in the United Kingdom.

Parking: There is ample parking near to both stations. Current public car park prices adjacent to the stations can be found on the Scarborough Borough Council website www.scarborough.gov.uk with some parking being free over the winter period.

Wifi: Free WIFI is offered at the Peasholm Station

Pets: Dogs are permitted to travel on the train.

Families: What to see and do There is so much to do at the North Bay Railway, you will not know where to start! - Relaxing activities such as a train ride on the Britain's most historic seaside miniature railway to Scalby Mills - Exhilarating rides on the only water chute in the UK - The kids will love having a go on the Water Walkers - Hire a paddle boat on the lake - Refreshing drinks in the beer garden, with a pint of real Yorkshire ale in Yorkshire's smallest pub - Fabulous coffee, pastries and delicious food at the Glass House Cafe/Bistro - Delicious seafood and snacks from the Scampi Shack. The North Bay Railway is a day out for all the family - no one will leave disappointed!

Disabled Facilities: Our attractions have wheelchair/pushchair access direct from the car parks at both ends. At Peasholm Station, entrance is through our ticket office/gift shop and direct onto the Station Platform, where the Train Guards are happy to assist passengers with mobility difficulties or to direct wheelchairs or pushchairs to the end of the carriages, where the wheelchair/pram can remain occupied on the journey. Visitors may be dropped off/picked up close to the Station Building where a member of staff will arrange train tickets and assist passengers to the platform area to await the train. The Station Building has double door access both when entering and when moving onto the station platform.
