The museum, situated in the tiny Gaelic-speaking village of Baile an Fheirtéaraigh (Ballyferriter), 13 km (8 miles) west of Dingle, is the ideal place to find out about the archaeology, history and culture of the Dingle Peninsula, in the glorious south-west of Ireland, before you go out to explore all the wonderful monuments, both natural and man-made, of the area. We have a great bookshop, and café with home baking, and the knowledgeable staff are delighted to answer all your questions. Beidh fáilte is fiche romhat! (Lit. trans. ‘A welcome and twenty more of them will be waiting for you!’)
Wifi: Free WIFI available to customers of our café and museum. Ask at reception desk for the code.
