Over the years the hotel has been modernised (and licensed) and now provides boutique B & B in six en-suite rooms and two standard rooms. There are real fireplaces in the residents' lounge, the bar and the dining room (in addition to central heating) which, even on blustery summer's days, adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Bedrooms are provided with colour TVs and tea/coffee-making facilities. On summer days the garden makes a pleasant place for a drink. Blackwaterfoot harbour is a stone's throw away and the unique 12-hole Shiskine links golf-course is a 5 minute walk away. The golf course backs onto the beach and the King's Cave is a couple of miles beyond the golf course.
