Student NUS Discount No We are a quiet, 'Home from Home', non smoking, multi-award winning, highly accessible B&B, in the historic town of Abingdon. A choice of 7 en-suite Bedrooms includes 'Allergy Friendly' and ground floor 'Easy Access' (with wet room). Guests enjoy private parking (with Blue Badge bay), excellent bus services and local amenities, secure cycle/scooter storage, Fair Trade items and free WiFi. All guests have shower rooms and access to a guest bathroom. Room facilities include: digital Freeview TV & DVD player, free security safe, hair-dryer, towelling robes, iron and ironing board. A host of extra equipment, aids and information is available as we offer a flexible and responsive service for all ages and requirements. As we are virtually on the main road, the bus stops for travel to and from the centre of Oxford, Culham, Didcot, Marcham, Milton Park, etc. are only yards from the front door! The journey into Oxford by bus takes around 20 minutes and most days of the week the service runs every 5-10 minutes. (Please be aware that Oxford does not welcome cars and encourages visitors to use buses.) Although the house is situated on a main road, it is set back on a service road and has a number of trees screening it from the road thereby ensuring that it is fairly quiet. The accommodation available consists of two single rooms, one ground floor twin room (that can also be used by guests with mobility problems), three double rooms and one twin/triple room (all with en-suite shower rooms). Variations on each room can be seen on the main web site as most of the rooms have sufficient space to add another bed to accommodate a child or another adult if required. There are two local pubs within 500 yards of the house that both supply good quality food for evening meals; a 10/15-minute walk into the centre of Abingdon town gives visitors access to numerous and various other restaurants and pubs as well as several places of historic interest. Bookings can be made by telephone, mobile, email, Text Relay or direct via the website where real-time availability can always be checked. All major debit and credit cards are accepted but it is regretted that cheques are no longer acceptable.

Breakfast: An extremely comprehensive choice of items ensures that guests can have a substantial breakfast. Alternative diets can usually be accommodated if notice is given. Further details can be found on our own website.

Rooms: All rooms have an en-suite shower room, but there is also a guest bathroom in addition. Cleanliness is important to us and all rooms are decorated to a high standard, with ample free facilities.

Parking: A carpark is located at the front of the house with marked out bays.

Wifi: A free WiFi network is available throughout the house, and there is also a free PC for guest use.

Pets: Trained assistance dogs are welcome. However, because we accept guests with allergies, it is regretted that pets are not normally accepted.

Families: Our largest twin room has a settee that is also a bed, and another bed can be added enabling a family of 4 to use this room. There is sufficient floor and cupboard space for this without cramping. Baby facilities include a travel cot, high chair, plastic feeding utensils, bibs, beakers, etc. In the lounge there is also a small toy area to keep young children amused.

Disabled Facilities: We provide facilities that can be used by people with mobility problems, as well as visual or hearing impairment. From the ground floor 'Easy Access' room (with en-suite wet room), to an 'Allergy Friendly' room upstairs, we hope that we can accommodate most individual requirements. Wheelchair users can access our property via a ramp to the front door with level access to the ground floor room and breakfast room. The wet room has space for side-shift transfer to either the toilet or the shower seat - or a shower wheelchair is available if required. An adjustable bed, and low hanging wardrobe space means that individuals travelling on their own can have access to the full range of facilities. A comprehensive list of ‘aids’ for use by people with hearing or visual difficulties is available and can be downloaded from our website.
