One of Ireland's liveliest and oldest arts festivals, started in 1979 and has blossomed ever since. It is particularly noted for its visual arts exhibitions and Carlow can now boast Ireland's largest purpose built visual arts gallery which opened in Sept. 09. The festival is a multi-artform festival filled with good music, theatre productions, dance performances, literature performances, film screenings, street performances and specific festival commissions as well as workshops, lectures and general festival fun!
