A world famous unique educational visitor attraction constructed within a disused china clay quarry. The charity sets out to demonstrate humanities dependence on the plant world. The Tropical Biome mimics the hot and humid conditions of a rainforest growing a profusion of plants common to tropical areas around he world and not normally found in the UK! The Mediterranean Biome has a climate and planting typical of Mediterranean countries, cooler and drier than the tropical area. Reasonably priced restaurant areas are situated between the biomes. The "Core" has many interesting and educational exhibits and the Visitor Centre has a snack bar and sells locally produced plants, foodstuffs and more. Wherever you turn at Eden there is something new to see. The surrounding areas have rich planting typical of the mild maritime climate of Cornwall.
