The Hardwick has become a serious gastronomic destination since beginning life as a country pub in the 1800's. Winning Best Gastro- pub in the UK 201011 in the National Restaurant Awards as well as AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales.The evolution is now complete with the addition of eight luxury rooms a new bar and an extended dining room with private dining facilities. Since 2005 the Hardwick has been owned and run by Stephen Terry an acclaimed chef with an international reputation and his wife Joanna.

DIRECTIONS FROM LONDON and BRISTOLTake the M4 West crossing the New Severn Bridge and exit at Junction 24 to Coldra Roundabout. At Coldra Roundabout take A449 North. Leave A449 at 2nd Exit signposted to Raglan and Abergavenny. Follow dual carriageway to Raglan Roundabout and take 4th Exit onto B4598 signposted to Clytha. After approx 7 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Right.DIRECTIONS FROM HEREFORDTake the A49 South and then the A465 to Abergavenny. After approx 23 miles at the Hardwick Roundabout just outside Abergavenny stay in Left Hand Lane signposted B4598 and take the 1st Exit signposted B4598 to Usk. After 1 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Left.DIRECTIONS FROM SOUTH WALESTake the M4 East and exit at Junction 25A. Take A4042 signposted to Abergavenny. After approx 17 miles at the Hardwick Roundabout just outside Abergavenny take 3rd Exit signposted A465 to Hereford and A40 to Raglan. Stay in Right Hand Lane until A465 traffic has exited then move into Left Hand Lane now marked B4598 and take next exit signposted B4598 to Usk. After 1 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Left.DIRECTIONS FROM THE MIDLANDSTake the M5 South and the M50 to Ross-on-Wye. At Ross take A40 dual carriageway to Raglan. Exit at Raglan. Follow dual carriageway to Raglan Roundabout and take 4th Exit onto B4598 signposted to Clytha. After approx 7 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Right.DIRECTIONS FROM WEST WALESTake A40 via Brecon to Abergavenny. At the Hardwick Roundabout just outside Abergavenny take 1st Exit signposted A465 to Hereford and A40 to Raglan. Stay in Right Hand Lane until A465 traffic has exited then move into Left Hand Lane now marked B4598 and take next exit signposted B4598 to Usk. After 1 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Left.DIRECTIONS FROM MERTHYR TYDFIL NEATH and SWANSEATake the A465 Heads of the Valleys road to Abergavenny. At the Hardwick Roundabout just outside Abergavenny take the 2nd Exit signposted A465 to Hereford and A40 to Raglan. Stay in Right Hand Lane until A465 traffic has exited then move into Left Hand Lane now marked B4598 and take next exit signposted B4598 to Usk. After 1 miles The Hardwick Abergavenny is on the Left.PUBLIC TRANSPORTThere is a mainline train station at Abergavenny and then we are a short taxi ride away.
