The Duke of Cumberland's Head is a beautiful thatched village inn that dates from the seventeenth century. It has eight bedrooms which have just been decorated to a high standard. The price of the rooms includes an extensive breakfast including boiled eggs cereals fresh fruit pastries tea and coffee. Full English breakfast can be purchased from 9.30.Our excellent chefs have created a delicious menu which is their interpretation of traditional pub food. The menu constantly evolves and is complemented by our specials board which reflects whatever the kitchen has sourced that day from game and fish to home-grown vegetables and meat in the grounds of the pub itself. Beyond the croft where we have pigs chickens and sheep - all of whom contribute to the menu there are beautiful walks through the North Oxfordshire countryside and the pub is a perfect place to stay for a weekend being perfectly situated for Bicester village Oxford Chipping Norton and The Cotswolds. The pub is only five miles from junction 10 of the M40 but a million miles away from the misery of a travel lodge. Please note that the pub is closed between three and six on weekdays but provided you arrange it in advance we can let you in at any time.

Directions to The Duke of Cumberlands Head Deddington

From junction 10 the M40 follow signs to Aynho from Banbury or Oxford follow signs to Deddington. The pub is half way between the villages of Aynho and Deddington in the small hamlet of Clifton on the B4031. Once you get to the village you cannot miss the pub it is in the centre.
