The glass-covered well in the restaurant bar is some 35 feet deep and its pure water was once used in the brewing process. Today the well is the home of a family of gold fish. The Blue Boar is located in the village of Temple Grafton in the heart of rural Warwickshire. The inn's great location means it is well placed to enjoy all that Stratford-upon-Avon Warwick and the North Cotswolds have to offer. Temple Grafton itself is rumoured to be the place where William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway. According to church records William Shakespeare was married in Temple Grafton church in the year 1582 to one Ann Whateley. The name is thought to be a misspelling of Hathaway. With the inn as a comfortable and relaxing base you can explore the Vale of Evesham and Chipping Camden. Slightly further afield Birmingham is within about 30 minutes' drive with the NEC also approximately 30 minutes away by car.
