You can discover its unique history and how it helped to shape our modern world along with heritage culture and traditions dating back for thousands of years. There are numerous walking and cycling routes in the National Park and the adjacent Tamar Valley to suit all levels of ability and fitness. You can start your walk or cycle on Drakes Trail which runs just 50 meters from our door proving you really can have a great car free day out. There are also several circular walking and cycling routes off the trail taking you to Buckland Abbey Burrator Reservoir and Clearbrook to name just a few. There is more to Dartmoor than just walking and cycling within easy reach you have access to activities such as gliding kayaking paragliding horse riding reservoir fly and coarse fishing and golfing to name but a few. For those of you who enjoy less energetic pastimes there are farmers markets historic houses museums craft shops and galleries gardens and interesting churches to visit.

Directions to Overcombe House Horrabridge

Directions from Tavistock approx.4 milesFollow the A386 towards Plymouth. On reaching the Horrabridge' sign continue forward. Shortly after passing the left turn into the village (Watch out for the Speed Camera) take the second turn on your right into Old Station Road (You will see our brown Tourist Sign) you will find us on the left hand side. Have a safe journey.Directions from Plymouth approx. 10 milesFollow A386 towards Tavistock. On reaching the roundabout at Yelverton remain on the A386 after approximately 1.1 miles you will see the Horrabridge' sign take the next left turn and follow the road round and you will find us on the right hand side. If you miss this road take the next left hand turn. Old Station road is effectively a loop road off the A386.
