The MacDonald Arms Hotel has been open since 1780 and is currently owned by husband and wife team Euan and Kirsten Smith. Having purchased the hotel in August 2007 they have been making improvements continually ever since.Great food is served all day everyday from 12 noon.Accommodation is available at very competitive rates and is used regularly by business clientŠle shooting golfing and fishing parties.The bar and lounge are open every day for light snacks and refreshments.

TRAVELLING FROM EDINBURGHFollow signs for the A90M90 Forth Road Bridge. Follow M90 to Perth then A85 DundeeAberdeen crossing the Friarton Bridge and take the exit immediately signposted coming off the bridge Junction 11 for the A94 Coupar Angus road. Follow the A94 through 2 sets of traffic lights to a third set keep in the right hand lane road bends to the right. Follow the road out of Perth through village of New Scone heading back out into the country. Follow the road up the hill (2 lanes of traffic coming up hill) continue past Perth Airport (on left hand side) until you reach the village of Balbeggie. The MacDonald Arms Hotel Perth is the first building as you come into Balbeggie.FROM GLASGOWFollow A80M80 signs for Stirling then A9 to Perth. On outskirts of Perth you come to the Broxden Roundabout take the M90A85 turn-off ( 3rd exit) heading for DundeeAberdeen. Follow the by-pass taking exit for A90 Dundee road crossing Friarton Bridge.
