By CAR - From M11 Jct 8 roundabout with services exit B1256 Takeley (reclassified from A120) turn right opposite Esso garage on to lane to Great Hallingbury pass Hallingbury Manor restaurant pass Sir John Houblon pub continue to the right hand bend and flint house continue turn right through bend continue to Greenways Lodge Bishop's Stortford on Left. Do not pass The Grove.By BUS - Use bus -301bay25 airport bus station to Esso garage Start Hill 1.6GBP hourly 0735 to 1735 (no Sunday) depart bus at Start Hill Birchanger Esso garage you can then walk 1 mile on the village lane opposite the Esso garage to Great Hallingbury (please note that in the winter months it will be dark and during peak travel times traffic will be using the lane) pass under the old railway bridge then pass Hallingbury Manor Restaurant continue pass Sir John pub continue to right hand bend with flint house go right on bend continue to Greenways on LEFT do not pass The Grove.
