The valleys of Eskdale and Wasdale with some of Britain's highest mountains are close by and the coastal village of Ravenglass is just a short distance away.The Ravenglass and Eskdale miniature railway runs from Ravenglass into the Eskdale valley and Muncaster Castle with its beautiful gardens is nearby.
