Built in 1898 and category B listed Bella Vista offers spacious accommodation for up to 5 people (or 7 if the extra room with king size bed option is chosen.) Retaining many charming original features the house has very comfortable modern and stylish facilities for a family group single traveller as a 'home away from home' or indeed is ideal as a romantic holiday for two (Gretna is a 20 minute drive from the property.) There is a living room with direct coastal views a fully equipped kitchen with fridgefreezer washerdryer cooker and microwave separate formal dining room with table and chairs seating 6 large bathroom with separate shower cubicle and two double bedrooms (one with a single bed annex.) The reception rooms have open coal fires and a colour TV DVDCD player are all supplied (an X BOX with games can be hired upon request subject to availability.) Externally there is an attractive sheltered private front garden with garden furniture table and seating and off street parking to the rear of the property for one car (or more by arrangement) with a storage building for golf clubs or cycles etc. Beyond the front garden there is also a public park (with pavilion and picnic bench) which also directly overlooks the shoreline. Picnic basket and disposable barbecue supplied. A travel cotmoses basket and standhigh chair baby change mat bouncy cradle can be hired upon Please note that no smoking is allowed inside the property.There is a small local park and good pub food is only 5 minutes walk away. The immediate area has many attractions including a challenging 18-hole links golf course an excellent privately-hired Spa including small pool with current sauna and hot tub (various pampering treatment packages available including wedding packages - we have an exclusive spa package for our guests (please note the spa needs to be booked in advance and is not open in December.) Cycling fishing bird watching and walking. Bella Vista provides a perfect and romantic base for honeymooners and wedding parties alike (under 10 minutes from Comlongon Castle and under 20 minutes from Gretna and Caerlaverock Castle.) Also ideally situated as a base from which to visit the world class 7 Stanes mountain biking trails. On the EnglandScotland border it is easily accessible from major road networks and Carlisle is only a 30 minute drive away (also very accessible to the northern Lake District and Hadrian's Wall country.) Powfoot is very accessible to the main trunk roadsmotorways - A75 M6M74 A69.

Directions to Bella Vista Powfoot

Powfoot is located on the coast of the Solway Firth about 3 miles west of Annan and around 11 miles west of Gretna on the England Scotland border. From Gretna take the A75 West (signposted to Stranraer) and take the second turn off to Annan. Follow the signs for Cummertrees and then Powfoot. When you reach the village of Powfoot drive over the small bridge and continue along the sea front road for a few yards until you reach the public phone box and notice board on your right. Facing you Bella Vista Powfoot is the terrace on your right. Dedicated parking is to the rear of the property.
