Originally a flour mill dating from 1831 the building was derelict for years until its conversion in 1990. The underground stream that the building sits on has been made into a feature and the sound of trickling water in the bar adds to the relaxed atmosphere whilst providing an interesting talking point. Travelling from south or north take junction 29 on the M1 and the exit to Clay Cross. Continue along this road for approximately 4 miles until you reach the T junction with the A61 DerbyChesterfield Road turn right then immediately left continue on this road for 1 mile and the Hotel is on the right hand side.
